I'm baaack! Week 3 was BUSY here...well in terms of work anyhow! It has stayed very, very nice here with temperatures well into the 20's during the day. I won't complain ONE BIT about t-shirts in October!! In light of this Michelle and I have been walking alot in the morning, we went to a new Medici Villa last week...this one was a little more flat to easier to roll little Nicholas around in without making him go off-roading...LOL. That is what all pictures above are of-- the citrus tree's are so cool!
Again these are the old villas (aka summer homes) built in the 13th- 14th century (these two anyway) for the powerful Medeci family. They are built high up in hills (now suburban Florence) overlooking much of the city....although back then there would have been little out here but trees and have taken hours to get to by horseback....so neat to think about!
Blair flew into town on Thursday night and was here until this morning (much shorter than we expected...but we had a great trip, traveled to Siena and ate some GREAT food! Details and pics on the rest of the weekend to follow :)
